Ease of use: Business documents (orders, invoices, shipping and sales documents) are sent through eircom's EDI tradefast website. You, or your supplier, simply log on to the site and print out or download these documents instantaneously. The data is transmitted via a computer connection made between your own PC and the EDI tradefast service. The service then acts as a clearing-house, sorting the transmitted data and delivering it to the address specified by the sender.

Security and support : EDI tradefast supports the EDIFACT, TRADACOMS and ANSI X12 data standards. The service also incorporates a high level of security to help ensure that transmitted data is available only to authorised users. Access to the service is via passwords, the generation and maintenance of which is controlled by the user.
